In February, Danilo was invited to participate in one great USA festival, with the trip sponsored by the Culture Ministry.
This festival is a tribute to acoustic music, specially the North American one: famous bands and amazing players of Jazz, Bluegrass, Blues, and Old Style play to thousands of people in 3 days.
In addition to that, lots of amateur musicians playing, singing and having fun everywhere you can see.
And Danilo was there to represent Brazillian acoustic music. In the begenning, Brazilian music was not part of the schedule, but an exception was made in order to present different world acoustic music (opportunity given by special people) and thanks to Danilo musical skills.
Danilo’s reception could not be better.
He charmed the audience with his music, his sound and style.
He talked about Brazilian Music to a big audience at the workshop and performed in crowded theaters that gave him standing ovations.
To complete this great event, a huge Choro jam was made with amateur and professional musicians from all over the world and the USA, playing Brazilian Music.
In a way to bring this experience to more people we will be posting videos, photos, music and Danilo’s impressions, in the next few days.
